Introductions on Day 1

Collin introduced his mom and himself.

We learned how to trace an object's form with our fingers and see it in our minds before we drew it on the paper.

Our first day of YEAR TWO

Linda and Stephanie radiate!

Douglas introducing his people.

Boaz LOVES CC!

Making Goo

Douglas and the great glob of goo!

WEEK 1: Slime

Atom - basic unit of matter. Nucleus and electrons.
Molecule - 2 or more atoms bonding. Na = sodium atom + Cl = chloride atom = NaCl (salt).
Some atoms by themselves can be extremely dangerous (think of the hydrogen bomb) but when bonded can become safe/stable.
Chemistry is the study of matter and the changes it goes through with chemical reactions.
When we mixed glue and water, there was only a physical change, a mixture. But when we add the borax/water solution, a chemical change occurs which permanently alters the molecular structure of the ingredients, making it more solid and pliable.

Challenge I!

Playdoh Teambuilding!

Jordan and Amy made friends at Children of the Light dance camp this summer. They were very happy to see each other again!
