Nancy takes cleaning Harvest's facility very seriously. She employs techniques that may seem unconventional but they are highly effective.

Bea learning about first and second class levers.

Are scissors first or second class levers? Leave a comment and get a prize!

Since our older nursery is princess-heavy, with only one prince, Linda brings in appropriate attire for her charges. Clearly Linda is aware of her Princess standing as well! Thank you Linda for taking such great care of our children!

Caleb is passed from adoring mommy to adoring mommy. He is held, admired and coo'ed over the entire time he is at CC. What a life!

Boaz, once again, used these eyes to convince Miss Nancy out of her lunch. I pack peanut butter and jelly for him. B-o-r-i-n-g. Miss Nancy has a cornucopia of treats in her lunch bag. Pizza lunchables, exotic chips, chocolate milk in a box!!! Oh my goodness, it's like Charlie's chocolate factory experience.

We were riveted by Dr. Heiman's presentation.

Dr. Heiman-real-life-adventureman spoke with us about his adventures as a geologist today! He's repelled out of a helicopter, been chased by a bear, administered 27 stitches on his own leg and then hiked for many miles, been bitten by a rattlesnake -- while holding on a steep cliff and camped alone for a month! And we thought geologist spent his career in an air conditioned office.

Thank you Dr. Heiman!

Brian loves the history cards!

Nancy has cleaned our church every week for the last seven weeks! Wow! Nancy is incredible! Thank you! This week she needed to be elsewhere and our newest Harvest janitor took charge. Boaz made the men's room sparkle and smell great!

Muscles in Motion IV

A new look for our moms? Miss Donna was helping the children improve their fine motor skills today. We used clothes pens to clip fabric onto moms. The look may become the next fashion statement! We'll call it recession wear. Have a tear or a stain? Just switch around the clothes pin and cover it!....or not.

Dispersion

Lisandrea, Jana, Diane and Nancy acted out a fat molecule that becomes emulsified by soap today. Our brilliant moms, lead by Jana, locked arms as a happy fat molecule. Then the dressed-in-black soap, Nancy, brust through their happy molecule and sent the moms out into the vast bowl of milk. A truly Emmy-worthy performance.

Dispersion

We discussed dispersion today. We first poured milk into plates and dropped spots of food coloring into the milk. We observed that the food coloring did not disperse but stayed in colorful blobs in the milk. Then we dropped one drop of dish soap into our plates. Instantly the fat molecules in the milk dispersed allowing the water-based food color to move around the whole plate, mix with the other blobs of color and form ribbons and designs in our plates!

Mrs. W. the Great stayed up until one this morning to make clay volcanoes. Her volcanoes were incredible! She then helped us make them explode using soap, water, food coloring, vinegar and baking soda. The children loved watching them erupt. Thank you Mrs. W.

This is Mrs. H and Mrs. W. Thank you again Mrs. W for a wonderful job making the volcanoes and researching about them.

Mrs. M and Boaz look at a volcano.

Does anyone remember where the largest volcano in the solar system is? Write it in comments and get a shout out at CC!
