The wall was made of Jasper and the city of pure gold, as pure as glass. The foundations f the city walls were decorated with every kind f precious stone. The first foundation was jasper, the sec0nd sapphire, the third chalcedony, the fourth emerald, the fifth sardonyx, the sixth carnelian, the seventh chrysolite, the eighth beryl...
If we believe in Jesus, that he is the Son of God, we will go to heaven. Heaven is a place with a city called new Jerusalem and the earth will be made new and new Jerusalem will be placed on the earth and we will live with God. It is a promise. When loved ones die who know Jesus we have the wonderful assurance that we will see them again, with God, and perhaps at the wall of new Jerusalem. What an amazing sight!
We made walls and streets of gold today to remind us how precious that day will be!

da Vinci
Helena dissected a roll of tape in art today. We were studying Da Vinci and learned about his incredible ability to study an object and learn from it.

Boaz was so happy about taking apart a cell phone that he now has the parts at home and hopes to reconnect them to make a walkie-talkie cell phone.



Melissa and Travis dissected a digital camera. Amanda knocked on Travis' mom's door to ask her if it was ok to destroy the camera. Diana jumped up and dashed to the multi-purpose room to check. Sure enough, Travis had chosen the correct camera -- but it is always better to verify.
